It came with a wooden presentation box and a certificate of authentiicity signed by the maker and craftsman. There were only 220 sets made according to Megabait who commissioned the wooden lure set. Each of the lures use different types of wood, hardware, and finishing techniques.
The quality and details of the craftmanship are top notch. Any antique lure, rare lure, or hand made wooden lure collector would be interesting in owning a set. They are fully functional lures, but most are just displayed in their case.
Commissioned by Megabait - hand crafted in Japan - includes signed certificate of authenticity, only 220 sets made
Click for More Info and Pictures

Brown trout have large black and reddish-orange spots. These fish grow quickly and may live up to six years. They grow to be about eight to ten pounds. They can be found in near shore waters where waters are 55 to 65 degrees. Fishing for brown trout is similar to fishing for rainbow trout.

Fishing Report - Rod-Man Charters Report November 3, 2005
Rod-Man Report November 3, 2005:

Hi Folks,
Wow the fishing has been good lately. Trout are most everywhere. Red drum and black drum are biting. Fall fishing is in full swing I will be fishing the Cape Fear Red Trout Tournament this weekend and hopefully we will do well.

Now here’s my report:

Inshore: Speckled trout are everywhere! You can find them from the inlets to the marsh banks in the creeks. Gulp baits are working well as are Mirrolures. Black drum and red drum are biting. Bluefish (nice fat ones) are biting at the inlets on high tide. Just watch for them running baitfish.

Nearshore: Some nice flounder are biting around the reefs and inshore wrecks. Gray trout are hitting jigs and live bait. Big drum are hitting live or cut bait.

Offshore: Kings are generally biting well around 10 to 20 miles out. Bonito are in the 7 to 10 mile areas. Bottom fishing has been good from 15 to 25 miles out.

Gulfstream: Wahoo and blackfin tuna have been biting well. A few billfish have added to the mix.

Sponsor’s Corner: As mentioned above, speckled trout love Gulp. I am sure I will be using plenty during the tournament this weekend. I use Fireline on my reels with a 2-3 foot piece of Vanish flourocarbon leader.

Coming Up: The Rod-Man will be at the Raleigh Bass and Saltwater Fishing Expo January 13-15, 2006; the Greensboro Bass and Saltwater Fishing Expo February 3-5, 2006; AND of course the Rod-Man Fishing School March 4, 2006. If you are interested, be sure to register soon…all inclusive fishing techniques and loads of door prizes…seating is limited.

Don’t miss this week’s pic of the week: http://www.rodmancharters.com/report.htm

That’s all for now…gotta go fishing!

Capt.
